LET'S KEEP ART
Oops Wow Take Over at Bridport Arts Centre
10th - 11th April various times

LET'S KEEP ART!

Let’s fill the gallery with art, and play, let’s make art all day!

For two days and an evening, Jo from Oops Wow Messy Art will take over the Allsop Gallery, everyone is welcome to come in and have a play. There will be a couple of lead activities each day, but you can come in at any time, play with what is there, and add your bit.

Wednesday 10.15 – starting off with a story we will then map our plan for our world using tape, collage and cardboard.

Wednesday 1pm we will do some simple printmaking to generate lots of lovely paper which we can use later on to add to the world we are building.

Wednesday evening 7-9pm - the grown ups will get a chance to add to what has been going on. We will do printmaking, drawing with tape and collage, make slogans and ‘manifest it’ placards saying what we want for the Arts… whatever takes your fancy. The bar will be open too!

Thursday 10.15 we will paint lots of boxes to make a tower of art, Thursday 1pm we will look at what has happened and make posters to tell everyone about it.

All works made will stay in the gallery. The exhibition of what we got up to be stay up until Saturday 13th April. Visitors will be invited to make further contributions. If you want to come and collect your work on Saturday afternoon you are very welcome to.

Entry is by donation.

The evening event for grown-ups is ticketed as spaced are limited, these are now available from the Arts Centre website

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

DRAWING MUSIC for Beaminster Festival Fringe
30th & 31st May, and 1st June
The Prout Bridge Project, 6 Prout Bridge, Beaminster,DT8 3AY

Beaminster Festival have invited me to run a series of playful creative workshops for different ages to explore drawing and making art inspired by music from this year’s festival.

These will be a whole body you-can’t-get-it-wrong wild kind of fun. Listen to the music with your hands and feet, dance with your pencils, dress for mess.

The plan is to have fun together; exploring and playing, listening and responding. There is no expectation of producing any finished pieces, just an ambition that participants will enjoy looking at, and listening to things differently afterwards.

You can find out more information on the Beaminster Festival website here

or buy tickets following the links below, tickets cost £7 per child, the grown ups session is £18.
